Alex hails from Toronto, Canada and has gigged sporadically in Toronto until he came to the UK to visit his friend in September 2001. He was blown away by the massive comedy scene here, and found himself at home amongst his English countrymen. After a couple of subsequent visits, Alex moved to London in September 2002 and performs vehemently in venues all across the U.K. In 2006 Lasarev took his new show ''Illegal Import'' to the Edinburgh fringe festival. The show packed out virtually every night and received excellent reviews! He ��Ǩ�Ѣs performed ''Illegal Import'' at the transac club in his home town of Toronto, and You can check out ''Illegal Import'' one night only on Oct 29th at Charlie ��Ǩ�Ѣs in Manchester, and at the Etcetera theatre in London Nov 7th-12th. Also, Alex is currently preparing to do some dates of his new show in the republic of Ireland. He is also making arrangements for a run of the show at the Leicester, and Melbourne comedy festivals.
