Brand Quits BBCR2 & Ross Suspended!
Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross have been scalded by both press and public in the backlash from a remarks made on the Brand’s radio show. This isn’t the first and probably won’t be the last controversial story surrounding the comedian and presenter and all points to too little too late. The written apologies to Sachs, 78, were ‘respected’, but they were definitely too late! The resignation from Brand has come quickly, although it’s unclear how far the fallout will go with Ross. One thing is for sure, you won’t see him tonight as his BBC1 show is currently suspended.
Ricky Gervais - At Home in the States
From a nauseating Boss in The Office to rom-com star in his new film Ghost Town, Gervais is in huge demand. So much so he has been offered his own US chat show; he told Star magazine: ‘I’ve actually been offered a chat show in America. I’d do it but I wouldn’t want it to be current affairs and I wouldn’t want it to be based around people plugging stuff…people already think I’m trespassing when I do a drama, so I don’t think they could take me being a presenter or chat show host.’
